List of smartphones that have Quick Charging capability

The modern smartphones were facing two issues, the longer inside battery takes to recharge, and the always (mostly) unsatisfied battery life they deliver. To offer a practical solution, if not the perfect, to one of these two problems, many smartphone OEMs came forward with a new term, and battery related tech, named Quick Charging.

As the name suggests, it fixed the first problem, i.e., minimising the time require to fully recharge the battery. With the new battery technology, the time required for a smartphone to gain a full throttle was reduced by half of the original time. No doubt, this became a must-have feature in the flagship, and some customer-centric mid-rangers too.

Smartphones with Quick Charging Capability

So, interested in knowing what all those devices are? Let’s have a look at the list of smartphones that have Quick Charging capability.

#1 HTC One M9

HTC One M9

I’ll prefer starting this compilation with my favourite designed smartphone, and the 2015 flagship from Taiwan-based OEM, HTC. The One M9, apart from featuring the Quick Charge 2.0 technology, comes with all flagship standard specifications. The prime attraction is the Snapdragon 810 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 20MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, and Gorilla Glass 4 protected 5-inch Super LCD3 display with full HD resolution.

#2 Motorola Nexus 6

Motorola Nexus 6

The retail box of Nexus 6 ships with Motorola made Turbo Charge compatible adapter, which boots the device to 100% from nowhere in about 1 hour and 40 minutes. And, as the name suggests, this is a Nexus phone always running stock and latest version of Android OS, currently Marshmallow. It comes with 6-inch measuring Quad HD resolution AMOLED display, SD 805 SoC, 3GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage.

#3 Oppo Find 7a

Oppo Find 7a

For users who prefer China-based smartphone manufacturers, Oppo Find 7a is the perfect match here. Apart from the one feature to meet our criteria because of using VOOC Fast Charging, the device packs a 5.5-inch full HD display and uses Snapdragon 801 SoC to run everything. 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage are coupled with CPU. By looking at the specs itself, you can judge that it’s an old entry, and yes, it was released back in 2014. I still included it to let you know since when Oppo is offering this feature, and, of course, buying its latest offering is recommended.

#4 Samsung Galaxy S6

Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge

One of the best-looking flagship smartphones of 2015 has also got the entry, and it even comes with Wireless charging support, if that interests you. This is clearly one of the best phones you can get in 2015, with every modern feature. The unique feature it packs are Samsung Pay, Gorilla Glass 4 protected back panel and a lot of sensors to get better health tracking data. Samsung has packed its own Fast Charging mechanism into the battery shell.

#5 LG G4

LG G4

Featuring one of the finest rear cameras with manual controls, LG G4 is clearly a flagship champ of 2015, and it can recharge 60% in just 30 minutes of plugging, thanks to QuickCharge 2.0 support inside. The phone was among very few which offered a removable battery and expandable storage feature this year.

#6 Moto X Style

Moto X Style launch in India

This is another entry from Motorola, and the unique feature covered here is the water repellant nano-coating to receive IP52 certification. The handset comes with a 5.7-inch Quad HD resolution display, SD 808 SoC, 3GB of RAM, and expandable storage. The 3,000mAh battery slipped inside can gain 32% of charge from nowhere in mere 15 minutes, using the Turbo Charge technology.

#7 Sony Xperia Z5

Sony Xperia Z5 Side

Xperia Z5 was Sony’s answer to growing flagship war in 2015, and this smartphone came equipped with Quick Charge 2.0, facilitating the fast charging mechanism. The device packs a side mounted fingerprint scanner which is unique in the smartphone realm till date. Apart from this, it packs a 5.2-inch full HD display, SD 810 SoC, 23MP rear camera with f/2.0, and a battery of 2,900mAh rating.

These were the best options I could come up with. But, these are not the only ones!
