ChampOne C1 with 2GB RAM, fingerprint sensor to be available for Rs. 501

ChampOne C1 is the latest name in the market to have a price tag of below Rs. 1000, even though having the features to call itself a smartphone. Is this going to be believable, at least this time? Two earlier phones from the other new companies, the Freedom 251 and Docoss X1 were a failure as they never showed up after all the hype they got.

The company this time, i.e. ChampOne Communications is said to have got some approvals and even this brand is talking about “Make in India” campaign, though we don’t whether there’ll be some involvement of the government of India in this.

Rs. 501 is what the device costs. Surprising, right? Not anymore. We’ve already seen a couple of such cases, so just take this with a pinch of salt.

Let’s talk about the specs of the C1. The phone has a 5-inch HD display with the HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels), MT6735 Quad-core (1.3GHz) processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. A 2500 mAh battery is included and there is support for quick charging as well. It is a Dual SIM phone and the device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. A fingerprint scanner is also included. According to Phone Radar, the regular price of the device will be Rs. 8000, so it is only the first flash sale when the price of Rs. 501 will be there.

One assuring thing here is that you don’t have to pay anything upfront and it is only available on Cash-on-delivery but then, just like the Docoss X1, you might just have to keep waiting to see this never arrive. If you are still interested in the sale, visit www.champ1india.com and register for the sale, which is going to happen on September 2nd, 2016.
