Intex Aqua View Phone with Intex EYELET VR cardboard launched in India

In an aim to foray into the Virtual Reality space in India, Intex Technologies has launched a smartphone and a VR cardboard along with it. The Intex Aqua View smartphone is launched with the 4G LTE connectivity and along with it is the Intex EYELET, a Works with Google Cardboard (WWGC) device that works on v2 of cardboard so it is compatible with any other smartphone, though for now, the EYELET VR cardboard is bundled along with the smartphone.

The Intex Aqua View comes with a 5-inch HD display and a 2.5D curved glass over it and it is powered by a quad-core 64-bit MediaTek processor (MT6735 not confirmed) along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage, which is expandable by a further 32GB with a MicroSD card.

The phone has an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. A few modes for the camera include the Face Beauty mode, anti-shake, motion tracker mode, Live photo mode and Gesture V capture mode. The device has 4G support along with VoLTE feature. There is a 2200 mAh battery (claiming to offer a talk-time up to 7 hours along with a standby time of 9 days) packed into the phone, and there is a fingerprint sensor on the front for security. Earlier, the company had launched the Intex Aqua Secure with a fingerprint sensor.

Intex EYELET

The INTEX EYELET is the 360-degree VR headset that helps in 3D viewing, and it is the version-2 of Google cardboard and any phone with Gyroscope and Accelerometer sensor can work with it. The Intex Aqua View is priced at Rs. 8999 with White and grey options and the VR headset comes bundled in the package.
