LG X Screen launched in India, comes with a 1.76-inch secondary display on top

LG India has officially launched the LG X Screen smartphone in India, and the phone’s display is complemented by a secondary display section above it. Apart from this, the smartphone brings about a change in the build as well, as there is a glass fiber back that is said to be more resistant than glass.

On the front, the LG X Screen has a 4.93-inch HD resolution LCD display and just above it is a rectangular secondary display that is 1.76-inch in size diagonally and it comes with a resolution of 520 x 80 pixels. Internally, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and there is 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage, along with a MicroSD card slot for the storage expansion.

The secondary display has favorite friends, apps, and features just a touch away. Also, while you are watching a movie or playing games on the device, the notification for incoming message or calls is shown on the secondary display, reducing the distraction. This secondary display can also have your name or a favorite motto that you wanted to show whenever the screen is idle.

The LG X Screen has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash support and 1080p video recording and there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The device runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS with LG’s custom UI layered over it. This is a Dual SIM phone with two Nano SIM card slots.

There is support for 4G LTE connectivity and the bands supported are TDD-LTE 2600(B38) / 1900(B39) / 2300(B40) / 2600(B41) MHz, and FDD-LTE 700(B17) / 900(B8) / 1700(B4) / 1800(B3) / 2100(B1) / 2600(B7) MHz. The other options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and NFC.

The device has a 2300 mAh battery, which is claimed to offer about 120 hrs of standby time and up to 780 mins of talk time on 3G.

LG X Screen will be available in India starting 20th July 2016, exclusively on Snapdeal for Rs. 12990.
