Samsung Galaxy On5 listed with 5-inch display, 4G LTE on official website

Samsung has accidentally listed Galaxy On 5 smartphone on their official Indian website, earlier another device from the Galaxy On series was seen getting certified on TENAA in China. The Galaxy On 5 has been seen with all specifications and images of the device. It sports a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. the Galaxy On5 is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core Exynos 3475 processor with Mali-T720 GPU, supported by 1.5GB RAM and 8GB internal storage expandable up to 128 GB using microSD card.

The Galaxy On series seems to be an attempt by Samsung to bring affordable smartphone with good features in India. Both the devices are going to be manufactured in India under the “Make in India” initiative, similar to the Tizen-powered Samsung Z3 which was launched recently. The Galaxy On 5 runs on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports Dual (micro) SIM. It comes with a 8MP rear camera with LED flash and aperture of f/2.2 along with 1080p video recording. The front camera is a 5MP shooter with f/2.2 aperture as well.

The Samsung Galaxy On 5 comes with connectivity features like 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ GLONASS, it measures 142.3 x 72.1 x 8.5mm and weighs 149 grams in weight. It is powered by a 2600mAh battery. The Galaxy On 7 comes with higher specifications compared to the Galaxy On 5 and is also priced higher around Rs. 13,000 while the Galaxy On 5 is said to priced around Rs. 10,000.

The launch of these devices is expected to be around month end and they will be coming with My Galaxy app which was recently launched along with and Mix Radio app for music streaming. The devices seem be available in only one color as per the listing which is Black.
