Garmin, the big player of satellite navigation is back in the Indian market with a new fitness watch called Forerunner 225. Although this watch has already been launched in the other parts of world earlier but it was a little late to make its appearance in India.
This is the first GPS watch by Garmin which even measures the heart rate. The heart rate technology is developed by Mio which is well known industry in this brand. The watch comes with a built-in accelerometer which helps to provide distance and pace data for indoor activities. It even works as an activity tracker which counts steps, calories and distance. Forerunner 225 also provides timely reminders to the users when they have been inactive for a long time.
The watch even has a display which shows all the data like heart beats, step data and other similar things at a glance. The watch is water resistant up to 50 meters and gives a long battery life of 4 weeks in watch mode, under GPS and heart rate monitor the watch gives backup of 7-10 hours.
All the data is synced with Garmin Connect which can help in analyzing the activity in a better way.
Forerunner 225 will sell at a price of Rs. 26,500 and will come in two different colors; Red and Black.
