Hero Motocorp has unveiled two of their latest 125cc Scooters at the Auto Expo 2018. The Hero Maestro Edge 125 i3S and the Hero Duet 125 i3S use the same single cylinder engine with automatic transmission and they both produce a maximum of 8.7 bhp and a peak torque of 10.2Nm. Both the Maestro Edge and the Duet come with the automatic idle-stop system called the i3S which automatically turns off the engine when the vehicle is not moving for a set duration in traffic or at a red signal. The engine turns back on when the accelerator is used by the rider and this helps save a lot of fuel by reducing the idle time for the engine.
The Hero Duet 125 i3S comes with a very attractive and modern design compared to the current model, the front of the scooter and the large turn signals are guided through with silver accents all the way. The headlamp on the scooter is also large and clear and you can see the i3S branding on the front sides of the scooter.
The sear in the scooter comes with the dual tone design and the seat size is average. The front suspension on the scooter is a telescopic suspension and both the front and rear brakes use drum brakes for stopping power. The scooter also comes with combination brake to improve the safety on the bike. While the side profile of the scooter looks about average, the rear and the front look very attractive. There is also a silver-colored hear shield on the exhaust pipe with the silver grabs behind the seat.
The price of the Scooter is expected to be around 50,000 to 53,000 and is expected to be available after November 2018.
