Lenovo A7000 vs Lenovo K3 Note – Which is the best Phablet?

The Lenovo K3 Note Android Smartphone, which was announced a few weeks back, is actually kind of an upgraded version of the Lenovo A7000, which was released just a few months back.

The Lenovo A7000 is priced in at Rs. 8,999, whereas the Lenovo K3 Note costs Rs. 9,999 and both of these devices can only be bought via their official online seller, Flipkart.

If you are confused between these two Smartphone model to buy, then today we are here with a detailed comparison between the Lenovo A7000 and Lenovo K3 Note, so that by the end of this article, you can decide for yourself whether you should buy the Lenovo A7000, or spend an extra RS. 1000 and buy the Lenovo K3 Note.

Lenovo K3 Note vs Lenovo A7000:

Display:

The major difference between these two devices, and one of the best selling feature of the Lenovo K3 Note, is indeed the display.

Even though both these Smartphones feature a 5.5 inch display, the Lenovo K3 Note features a 1080p Full HD display with 401 PPI whereas the Lenovo A7000 has just a 720 HD display with a PPI of 267. And the Lenovo K3 Note is one of the numerable phones to have a 1080p Full HD display below the RS. 10,000 price range.

Apart from this difference, both these Smartphones does not feature any display protection like Gorilla Glass.

Processor, RAM and Storage:

Both the Lenovo A7000 and the Lenovo K3 Note features an octa core processor from Mediatek. The octa core processor in the Lenovo A7000 is clocked at 1.5 GHz whereas the Lenovo K3 Note features a 1.7 GHz octa core processor. And luckily, both these Smartphones have 2 GB of RAM.

Another aspect where the Lenovo K3 Note leads the game, is in internal storage. The Lenovo A7000 had only 8 GB of internal storage, and the Lenovo K3 Note provides 16 GB of internal storage. However, both these Smartphones does offer external SD card slot for storage expansion up to 32 GB.

Camera:

Yet another bummer that the users had with the Lenovo A7000 was that it had just an 8 MP primary camera. And with the K3 Note, Lenovo has even upgraded the rear camera unit to 13 MP. Even though the secondary camera on both these devices are the same at 5 MP.

Other Features:

There are even more minor upgrades to the Lenovo K3 Note, when compared to the Lenovo A7000. Like, the battery in the K3 Note has been bumped to a 3000 mAh unit, from the 2900 mAh battery in the Lenovo A7000.

And even when it comes to sensors, the Lenovo A7000 had only an accelerometer and a proximity sensor. Whereas, the Lenovo K3 Note comes with a gyroscope and a compass along with the accelerometer and proximity sensor.

And thankfully, both these Android Smartphones do run on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop software with Lenovo’s custom Vibe user interface.

Final Words:

From the comparison itself, it is quite clear that the Lenovo K3 Note is a marginal yet important upgrade from the Lenovo A7000. However, for the price of Rs. 8,999, the Lenovo A7000 is still a very good Android Smartphone. However, if you can extend your budget to Rs. 9,999, then the Lenovo K3 Note is a much more advised purchase.
