Lenovo K6 Power vs. ASUS ZenFone 3 Max ZC520TL Comparison

Lenovo’s latest smartphone in the budget series is the Lenovo K6 Power, which as the name suggests is all about the power to run the phone – the battery. But the phone isn’t the only one in its price range that boasts a good battery life. Recently, ASUS had launched the ZenFone 3 Max phone with a similar battery capacity and specs. Let’s check out the comparison to find what does one excel in, over the other.

First thing to note is that the companies have now adopted the metal back plates very well and the smartphones even in this price have become quite good to hold and even with the looks. Same is the case with these two phones from Lenovo and ASUS.

Note: This comparison talks about the smaller variant of the ASUS phone that has a 5.2-inch display.

Similarities between Lenovo K6 Power and ASUS ZenFone 3 Max ZC520TL

Design and Display

The Lenovo K6 Power has a 5-inch display and in comparison, the ZenFone 3 Max comes with a 5.2-inch display. And while the Lenovo phone has a 1080p display resolution, the ASUS one has a 720p display on the front.

Both the devices have the IPS LCD display and there is no strong screen protection offered on them, but the display resolution difference matters much.

Processor, RAM and Storage

The Lenovo K6 Power is powered by the Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 processor while the variants of ZenFone 3 Max are powered by either Snapdragon or MediaTek (MT6737M) processor.

The variants for both are the same when we talk of them based on RAM and storage, where there is one with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, and one with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Both the devices have a MicroSD card slot that offer storage expansion with a card having a capability to hold a card with maximum 256GB capacity.

Cameras

  • Lenovo K6 Power – It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus and LED flash, and the phone can record 1080p videos.
  • ASUS ZenFone Max – This phone too has a 13-megapixel rear camera with F/2.2 aperture, LED flash and even this can record 1080p videos.

On the front, there is a 5-megapixel camera on the ZenFone 3 Max but on the other side, the Lenovo K6 Power has a better one, i.e. 8-megapixel camera.

Battery

Both the phones revolve around good battery life, so you get to see some of the best battery capacities here, as the Lenovo K6 Power has a 4000 mAh battery when compared to the 4130 mAh battery packed into the back of the ASUS ZenFone 3 Max.

Similarities between the phones

  • A fingerprint sensor is present on the back of both the devices
  • Both of the phones run Android Marshmallow OS version
  • Both the devices have 4G LTE connectivity with the VoLTE support

  1. Not much difference in specification, but I think I’d prefer Zenfone Max 3 for its UI. And if it has the SD SoC, then better.
