Display:
Both the Moto X style and the One Plus two are almost similar in size with the Moto X style being slightly bigger at 5.7-inches compared to the 5.5-inch display in the OnePlus 2. In terms of resolution the Moto X Style is superior with its quadHD 1440p display in comparison to the 1080p fullHD display in the OnePlus 2.
Processor:
The OnePlus 2 is having a better processor with a Snapdragon 810 with Adreno 430 GPU in comparison to the Snapdragon 808 processor with Adreno 418 GPU in the Moto X Style. We will be updating the in detail performance comparison once we review both the devices for some time.
RAM and Storage:
The OnePlus 2 comes in two variants having two different RAM’s in each with the 16GB variant coming with a 3GB RAM and the 64GB coming with 4GB RAM. The Moto X Style on the other hand comes with 3GB RAM in all its variants of 16GB/32GB and 64GB versions. The Moto Style X can be further expanded upto 128GB using microSD card which is missing in the OnePlus Two.
Camera:
The Moto X style comes with 21MP primary camera with Dual-tone flash and the OnePlus Two comes with 13MP primary camera with dual-tone flash as well. Both the devices are capable of recoding 4K videos. The front cameras in both the devices are 5MP shooters but the Moto X style has LED flash on the front as well which is missing in the OnePlus 2. In the camera segment the Moto X Style seems to be the winner with a better camera in the rear as well as front camera having LED flash.
OS:
The Moto X Style comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop which will be stock Android, the OnePlus 2 on the other hand will be coming with the Android 5.1.1 with Oxygen OS. With the absence of CyanogenMod OS from OnePlus 2 this segment of Operating System will go to the Moto X Style because of its stock Android OS which will be preferable compared to the new Android 5.1.1. with Oxygen OS.
Battery:
The OnePlus 2 fares slightly better as it comes with a 3300 mAh battery in comparison to the 3000mAh battery in the Moto X Style. The Moto X style has a quadHD display as well meaning it will squeeze out more juice form the battery in comparison to the fullHD and better battery in the OnePlus 2.
Additional features:
Both the device are coming with swappable back covers with the Moto X style coming with 18 types of back covers in comparison to the three types of back covers for the OnePlus Two. The OnePlus Two is lacking NFC which was removed and is not sporting a finger print sensor. In comparison the Moto X Style does not have a finger print sensor but comes with NFC.
Price:
The Moto X Style is available in US initially and will be available off contract for $399 and the OnePlus 2 will be available for $329 for the 16GB model and $379 for the 64GB model.
Conclusion:
The Moto X Style has a far better display than the OnePlus 2 with a quadHD display in comparison to the fullHD display. The processor is upgradedto the latest version of the Snapdragon 810 processor with 4GB RAM support in the 64GB model in OnePlus 2 in comparison to the Snapdragon 808 with 3GB RAM in Moto X Style.
The battery is another thing in which the Moto X lacks in comparison to the OnePlus 2. Overall the Moto X plus looks a better package but its lack of availability around the world is making me say that the OnePlus 2 is the winner between the two devices.
