Let us compare each aspect of both the devices in detail and see which stands on top.

The major reason for the comparison with this particular device, is that the Xperia Z3+ also gets power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, though the OnePlus 2 has a v2.1 of the chipset, said to be modified for OnePlus specifically.

    Processor:

The OnePlus Two is coming with a revised Snapdragon 810 processor which is said to be revamped to fix the heating issue which the original processor was facing. Coming to the Xperia Z3+ it also sports a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor. Both the devices are equally placed in this aspect but with slight advantage to the OnePlus Two as the company says it is a revised version to control the heating and the Xperia Z3+ has been tested and is seen facing the heating issue.

    RAM:

The OnePlus 2 comes with 4GB RAM compared to the 3GB RAM in the Sony Xperia Z3+ which will give it an edge as both the devices are sporting the same processor.

    Camera:

Sony has always been good with cameras because of their Exmor sensors which are used in even high end cameras and this device no exception as it comes with a 20.7MP primary camera with Sony Exmor RS sensor and autofocus, back illuminated stacked CMOS sensor, EXMOR RS sensor, Dual LED and 4K resolution Video recording compared to the 13MP primary camera of the OnePlus 2, which will have a dual LED Flash, and the use of Laser Autofocus helps in focusing on objects faster. There is the inclusion of Optical Image Stabilization in OnePlus 2 which was missed by OnePlus One users. There is a super resolution, a camera mode that lets you take huge photos.

    OS:

The latest OS Android Lollipop 5.1 based Oxygen OS will be available In the OnePlus 2 and the Sony Xperia Z3+ comes with Android Lollipop 5.0 OS. The Oxygen OS is relatively newer and should be tested properly in the OnePlus 2 to comment on which OS is best in both these devices.

    Battery:

The OnePlus Two comes with a slightly better battery having 3300 mAh battery compared to the 2930mAh battery in the Sony Xperia Z3+ which is a slight advantage of OnePlus Two in the battery aspect of the comparison.

    Price:

The OnePlus Two is priced at $450 for the 64GB model at its launch and the Sony Xperia Z3+ is priced at $888 which is almost double that of the OnePlus Two and in this aspect the OnePlus Two goes way ahead of the Z3+ in terms of competition.

    Specs: OnePlus 2 Specifications

Conclusion: If you do not look at the price then the Sony Xperia Z3+ seems to be a decent device in comparison to the OnePlus Two in terms of the Display having better ppi on a smaller display along with the camera which is a trade Sony is always good in. The Xperia Z3+ with Android Lollipop 5.1 OS and the OnePlus 2 with lollipop 5.1 based Oxygen OS are left to the users to decide what they will prefer as I liked both. Both the devices are having similar processors but the OnePlus 2 comes with a better RAM at 4GB compared to the 3GB in Xperia Z3+. The Z3+ is Water Resistant which is an added advantage, the OnePlus Two has Fingerprint scanner which is absent in the Z3+.

Overall both the devices are more or less equally placed in terms of specifications but when it comes to pricing they are worlds apart and the OnePlus Two is the sure winner. If you have the money an no patience to wait for the invite then you can go for the Z3+
