Acer cashing in on the recent Windows 10 announcement, Acer is launching three new laptops running on Windows 10. The three laptops are being launched in three different categories. The devices are Acer Aspire E5-573, Aspire V Nitro – Black Edition, and Aspire R 13.
Acer has announced that their laptops running on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 will be getting free 1 year Windows 10 upgrade.
S Rajendran, chief marketing officer, Acer India said,
“Working closely with Microsoft, all our 2015 products have been designed to be Windows 10 ready. As a result, customers who have purchased or plan to buy a 2015 Windows PC from Acer will transition seamlessly to Windows 10,”
Coming to the specifications of each laptop, the Acer E5-573 notebook comes in two variants based on display size, 14-inch and 15.6-inch displays. It is powered by latest 5th Gen Intel Core processors paired with Nvidia GeForce 920M GPU having a dedicated DDR3 VRAM. It can support up to 16GB RAM and can be upgraded up to 1TB HDD storage options. The devices sport textile pattern on the A-cover and D-cover which is said to be made using 3D scanning of fabric samples to get the perfect texture.
To support Windows 10 virtual voice-based assistant Cortana, the laptop includes TrueHarmony audio tech. It also comes with BlueLightShield feature which reduces the amount of blue light in the display to reduce eye strain. Acer to improve better typing and finger input experience has included precision touchpad technology, accidental contact Mitigation technology. Acer E5-573 with Windows 10 is available from Rs. 26,499.
Acer has also launched the new Aspire V nitro-Black Edition equipped with Windows 10, it is the latest model of the Aspire V nitro which was running on Windows 8.1 OS. It sports a 15-inch IPS display with 4KL resolution. It is powered by Intel Core i5 processor along with 2GB Nvidia GeForce GTX960M GPU supported by 8GB RAM and 4GB with 12 GB RAM Nvidia GeForce GTX960M GPU. It comes with 1TB HDD storage space, the specifications are in line with the earlier Windows 8.1 model. The V Nitro-Black edition comes with patterned covers made of NIL (Nano Imprint Lithography) technology. It comes with other features like Acer Dust Defender technology and Dolby Digital Plus Home Theatre having four speakers.
It is made as a gaming laptop provided with the 4K display and Nvidia GeForce GTX960M GPU and Windows 10 to pair with it. The Acer Aspire V Nitro-Black Edition is priced at Rs, 1,10,000.
The third laptop which was unveiled is the Acer Aspire R 13 having display size of 13.3-inch and is slim at 1-inch thickness. The screen can be turned up to 180 degrees. This enables the laptop to be used in six different modes: Notebook Mode, Display Mode, Ezel Mode, Stand Mode, Pad Mode and Tent Mode. It is powered by fifth Generation Intel Core i5 SoC and supported by 8GB RAM along with 512GB SSD.
The laptop is made to be sleek and manurable because of its light weight of 1.5 kgs and 1-inch thickness of the display and 180-degree movement possible by the display. The Acer aspire running on Windows 10 will be available from Rs. 89,999.
