Dell has earlier launched the Dell Chromebook 11 which was a compact affordable 11-inch laptop. Dell has once again teamed up with Google to launch their latest Chromebook 13. This latest chromebook was made to be powerful compact and appear premium all at the same time.
The Chromebook 13 which actually comes with a 13.3-inch 1080p IPS display which is protected by Gorilla Glass NBT. Dell has given importance to the design and is using carbon fibre weave cover, magnesium alloy palm rest and aluminium base to make it premium looking. Many of the design aspects are taken from Dell’s XPS or Latitude series laptops.

The Dell Chromebook 13 is available in different variants with an Intel Celeron, Core i3 or Core i5 processor with RAM from 2GB up to 8GB. It comes with a decent battery which will last for 12-hours on a single charge. This is one of the most premium in the Chromebook series, with all aluminium and magnesium alloy and only the thin bezel around the display is made of plastic. The precision touchpad is taken from Dell XPS 13.
It comes with ports like USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and HDMI port along with a AC port for connecting the charger. The Chromebook 13 will be available in three difference models based on the processor and RAM. The Processor models are Celeron, Core i3 and Core i5, with RAM of 2GB, 4GB and 8GB models. The storage models are 16GB and 32GB.
The pricing of the Google Chromebook 13 starts at $400 for the basic model with Celeron processor and 2GB RAM model and will go up to $700. We can compare the Dell Chromebook 13 with Google’s Pixel which has taken the laptop Chromebook series up and is priced at $1000.
