Huawei, the Chinese telecommunications giant has come out with a unique camera oriented smartphone in its Honor series, the Honor 7i which sports a 13MP flip-out camera. The Honor 7i sports a 5.2 inch fullHD IPs display with resolution of 1080×1920 pixels, it comes with a pixel density of 423 PPI.
The Huawei Honor 7i sports a unique rear camera module which can be flipped and used to take selfies as well. The camera can flip to 180-degrees and helps in clicking front facing captures. It comes with a Sony Sensor and dual LED flash which also flips with the camera. the camera app comes with features like Auto Exposure, Auto Smile shutter, Automatic face recognition and Auto white balance. It is said to be good in low light situations as well thanks to its SLR grade iSP.
There is one other unique feature with the Honor 7i, the fingerprint scanner is located on the side panel, and this is one of the smallest fingerprint modules in the market. The same has been seen in the ZTE Nubia Z9 recently where the fingerprint scanner was located on the power button and volume rockers.
The Honor 7i runs on a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 610 processor which clocks at 1.5GHz quad core + 1.2 GHz quad-core with Adreno 405 GPU. It is being released in two variants based on the RAM and storage space on the device, first variant comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage, the second variant some with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The storage space can be further expanded using microSD card up to 32GB.
The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Honor’s Emotion UI 3.1 over it. It is powered by a 3000mAh battery. It comes with 4G LTE supported Dual SIM option. Other connectivity features are Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, 3G, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB.
You can pre-order the Honor 7i in China at a price of CNY 1,599 approximately Rs, 16,500 for the 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage variant. For the 3GB RAM and 32GB variant model you have to shell out CNY 1,899 approximately Rs. 19,500.
