Lava has introduced its latest smartphone in their Iris series, the Iris X5 4G, the smartphone supports 4G networks and will be compatible with 4G bands across India. The Lava Iris X5 sports a 5-inch IPS display with Asahi Dragon Trail Glass Protection and Oleo-phobic coating with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, the pixel density is 294 PPI. The back of the device also comes in glass and has anti-smudge coating.
The Lava Iris X5 is powered by 64-bit 1.3 GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor with Mali-T720 GPU. It comes with 2GB DDR3 RAM and 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded with microSD card up to 32GB. It runs on Lava designed ‘Star OS’ based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. With the Lava Iris carrying the 4G tag in tis name, comes with dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) option supporting 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+.
The Lava Iris X5 4G sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and f/2.0 aperture, it comes with Largan Lens having blue glass filter, there are other features like face recognition, scene recognition, low light enhancement, panorama, geo tagging, smile shot, burst shot and HDR. The secondary camera is an 8MP shooter for selfies or video calling.
The connectivity features of the Lava Iris X5 4G are 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, GPS/ A-GPS, and Bluetooth 4.0. The sensors present are accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer and proximity sensor. The smartphone packs a 2500 mAh battery and is available in two colors Black and White.
