There is a rush of smartphone launches this week with many news devices hitting the market, Lenovo is not far behind and has launched a new device in the tablet category called “Lenovo Phab Plus”. The name says it all as the device sports a 6.8-inch display which is between the phablet and tablet categories, hence the name Phab Plus.
The Lenovo Phab Plus sports a 6.8-inch full HD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels having oleophobic coating which helps in preventing finger print marks on your display. the device is powered by a 64-bit Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor along with Adreno 405 GPU and supported by 2GB of RAM.
The device comes with a 13MP rear camera, with features like Omnivision sensor and dual LED flash, there is a 5MP front facing camera for taking better selfies with the tablet sized phab plus. It is powered on a 3500mAh battery which gives decent battery life. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Lenovo’s Vibe UI over it.
It comes with 32GB of internal memory which can be expanded using microSD card support. It is a dual-sim supporting device and comes with connectivity features like 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS. It comes with microUSB port and for better sound it is equipped with Dolby Atmos tech. The device is sleek and measure just 7.6mm in thickness and weighs in at 200 grams.
The device comes with no on-screen buttons, and no physical buttons are seen on the front of the device. The design of the device is surely appealing with a metallic trim around the device giving it a premium finish.
The Lenovo Phab Plus is priced at $407 and is released in China, the device is available only through China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom. There is no update about its availability in other countries except China at the moment.
