LG has launched their latest flip type smart phone the LG Gentle which is launched in Korea and comes with a 3.2 inch display which has a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. The device comes with physical keys and the device measures 117.7 x 58.7 x 16.6 mm in dimensions and weighs 143 grams in weight.

The LG Gentle has got some competition from Samsung Folder which is also a similar mid range flip phone launched by Samsung recently. The LG Gentle comes with a 1.1 GHz quad-core processor with an unspecified chipset, and is supported by 1GB RAM and has 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded using microSD card. The LG Gentle is in comparison a bit lower in specifications to the Samsung Folder which is better in all aspects.

LG Gentle Flip phone

LG Gentle comes with a 3MP primary camera and a 0.3MP VGA front facing camera it runs on Android 5.1 lollipop operating system. It supports only Single SIM which is micro-SIM and 3G support. The device is powered by a 1700mAh battery and is available in two colors Navy and Burgandy.

The LG Gentle is price at KRW 200,000 which is approximately Rs. 11,000 and is available in South Korea at the moment. With the launch of two flip model phones simultaneously by two big companies in the smart phone market does make me wonder, are the flip models coming back in style and are we going to see more of these type of smart phones from other makers as well. Samsung has been occasionally coming up with some flip devices, and the latest addition to their portfolio is the Galaxy Folder smartphone, which has a bigger size and better specs than the device we talked about here.
