Meizu has announced their latest phone, the Meizu M2 in China. This device comes as the successor of the Meizu m1 with some minor upgrades from its predecessor. The Meizu m2 comes with a 5-inch HD display having 720p resolution and has a screen to body ratio or 75.6% which makes it appealing to the eye when the display is on.
The m2 is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core 64-bit Mediatek processor with 2GB RAM which is an upgrade from the MT6732 SoC which was seen in the Meizu m1. The device runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 with FlyMe OS 4.5 which is also an upgrade form the Android Kitkat 4.4.4 found in the Meizu M1.
The Meizu m2 comes with 13MP rear or primary camera with LED flash f/2.2 aperture and 5p lens, the camera lens is protected by Gorilla Glass. The front camera is a 5MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture and 4p lens. The m2 has 16GB internal memory which can be expandable to 128GB with microSD card. The device measures 140.1×68.9×8.7mm in dimensions and weighs at 131 grams.
It comes with Hybrid Dual SIM option which means that the second SIM slot can be used as microSD card slot as well if not in use, this helps in increasing the storage space in the device. All the other connectivity features are present like 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS / GLONASS.
The Meizu M2 is price at 599 Chinese Yuan which is US $96 or Rs. 6100 and the colors it is available in are White, Grey, Blue and Pink colors. The device is presently said to go on sale only in China on August 3rd and there is no update about the global release of the device. The meizu m1 is not yet available in India so we have to wait a long time to get our hands on this device.
