The Selfie craze is there to stay and all the companies are trying to cash in on that. Micromax which has earlier launched the Canvas Selfie in the end of last year and another device Canvas Selfie Lens, has come out with two new variants in the Canvas Selfie Range, the Canvas Selfie 2 and Canvas Selfie 3.

Both the devices are siblings to its predecessor which are going to be priced lesser compared to the Canvas Selfie. Vineet Taneja, CEO, Micromax Informatics, commenting on the launch of Canvas Selfie 2 and Selfie 3 said,

“We are proud to announce the two new smartphones which are ideal for the users delivering fantastic images and equipping them with great beauty editing tools to look their best always.”

Micromax Canvas Selfie 2

Canvas Selfie 2 (Q340) sports a 5MP front facing camera having OV5670 sensor and 4P Largan Lens, the rear camera is a 5MP shooter with OV5648 sensor and 4P Largan Lens along with LED flash. The canvas Selfie 2 is equipped with a 5-inch FWVGA IPS display with a resolution of 480×854 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and supported by 1GB of RAM. The specifications of the chipset are not yet revealed, the smartphone comes with 8GB of internal storage space which can be expanded via microSD card.

The Canvas Selfie 2 is powered by a 2000 mAh battery and will be going on sale online from August 22nd at a price tag of Rs. 5,999. It is launched targeting the budget category smartphones in comparison to the canvas selfie which was launched at Rs. 15,999 sporting a 13MP front and rear cameras.

Coming to the Canvas Selfie 3 (Q348) sports a 8MP front-facing camera having a Sony MX179 sensor along with front LED flash, users can take 78-degree wide-angle selfie shots, the rear camera is also an 8MP shooter with Blue Glasses and 5P Largan Lens along with LED flash. The Canvas Selfie 3 sports a 4.8-inch HD AMOLED IPS display with resolution of 720×1280 pixels, it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, the chipset specifications are not yet revealed. It is supported by 1GB DDR2 RAM, it has an internal storage of 8GB which can be expanded using microSD card. There are camera features like Gesture shot, Face Beauty, Night Shot, Panorama and One Key Shot. It is powered by 2300mAh battery and the Android OS version is not specified at the moment. The pricing is not yet revealed and the device will be available from the end of August.
