Moto G6 certified on TENAA, to come with 5.7-inch 18:9 display

Moto G-series phones from Motorola are one the bestselling smartphones in the mid-range price segment, thanks to the solid hardware and the stock android to back it up. The Lenovo-owned company is yet to release their new mid-range offering for 2018, a phone that is expected to compete with the likes of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note line-up. The upcoming Moto G series phone, Moto G6, visits TENAA codenamed XT1925.

The phone will have the same circular ring on the back that houses the dual camera modules, similar to what we saw on the last year’s Moto X4 phone. Also, the phone’s fingerprint scanner sits on the front, just like the last year’s model, but the scanner seems to have shrunken smaller in size compared to last year’s model. The phone is expected to come in three variants, G6, G6 Plus and the G6 Play, while the one posing for the certification might be the G6.

According to the listing, the phone is said to have a 5.7-inch display and should run on Android Oreo with a 3000 mAh battery providing the required power. The listing also reveals a dual camera setup with a supposed dual-LED flash on the back. The phone’s dimensions are 154.5×72.2×8.3mm. As for the connectivity, the phone is said to be a dual-SIM smartphone, with 4G LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS support.

Earlier leaks from a Geekbench listing have suggested the phone to sport a 5.7-inch full-HD+ display with a 1080x2160p resolution and is powered by an Octa-core snapdragon chipset (either 625 or the 626) clocked at 1.8 GHz, 3GB RAM, 32/ 64 GB of storage. A 12 MP + 5 MP camera combination at the back, with a 16 MP sensor on the front for selfies. The phone has scored 709 on single core performance and 3582 on the Multi-core score.
