Samsung has launched its latest Flip phone in the mid range category, named Samsung Galaxy Folder. This device was launched in Korea and is said to go against the LG Gentle flip phone. At the moment the Galaxy Folder will be available only in the Korean market, no news about its availability in other markets is known as of now.
The Galaxy Folder sports a 3.8-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels
resolution screen and is a single screen unlike the earlier high end models by Samsung which sported dual displays. The other features of the device are, it comes with 2GB of RAM and 8MP Rear Camera and a 2MP front facing camera. The internal storage is set at 8GB which can be further expanded with microSD card.
The other features of the device like the processor, operating system and battery (rumoured to be 1800mAh) are not revealed yet, we will be updating as soon as we get the official update. Comparing it to the LG Gentle which was launched yesterday it is better in specifications, the LG Gentle comes with a smaller 3.2 inch LCD display with lower resolution and has just 1GB of RAM the only upside is that it runs on Android Lollipop 5.1. The full specifications of LG gentle flip phone were revealed and it is cheaper and lower specified than the Samsung Galaxy Folder.
The Galaxy Folder was launched in South Korea at a price of KRW 297,000 which is approximately Rs. 16,350 and will be going on sale form next month in the Korean market. If you want to get your hands on one immediately you have to ship it to your place or get some of your friends staying in Korea to send it to you. The earlier flip models were launched in India and we are expecting that the Galaxy folder will also make its way to India shortly.
