How to Use One-handed Mode in Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime

Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, or the standard Redmi 2 are smartphones with 4.7-inch screen, and someone who always has used Android smartphones might not feel it awkward or hard to hold the device any time. But for some, even this screen size seems big and not easy to reach the corners of the screen all the time, especially when trying to hit the menu button or while using the camera.

So if you are someone who wants an even smaller area to work on, in the already small 4.7-inch display of Redmi 2 Prime, follow the below steps to activate the one-handed mode.

To get the Redmi 2 into One-handed mode, go to Settings and head to Additional settings. In the list of additional settings, you’ll the option of “One-handed mode”. Tap on that, and it will take you to the options for toggling the mode, and to select the size of the screen.

Turn the one-handed mode on from here, and just below to that, select either 4.0 inches or 3.5 inches as the screen size. This will not immediately make the screen smaller.

To make the screen smaller to the desired size, swipe either left or right from the home button that is located below the screen. Based on which side you want the smaller screen to be, you can swipe from the home button to that side.

When the one-handed mode is activated, the bottom has a direct shortcut to go to the One-handed mode settings and turn it off, whenever you want to go back to the normal screen.

That was easy, wasn’t it? Let us know if you want to know about any other feature or setting in the Xiaomi Redmi 2 or the Redmi 2 Prime smartphone.
