Asus Zenpad 7.0 and Zenpad 8.0 launched, with price starting at Rs. 11999

    Asus fans are making the most of the ZenFestival with device after device being launched, firstly there were three smartphones the Zenfone 2 Deluxe, Zenfone 2 Laser and Zenfone Max. Here come two more devices, now in the tablet category from Asus, the Zenpad 7.0 and Zenpad 8.0, which are named after their display size.

    The Zenpad 7.0 and Zenpad 8.0 come with HD resolution displays having resolution of 720p and are protected by Gorilla Glass 4, similar to the other devices launched by Asus today.

    The Asus Zenpad 7.0 comes with 64-bit Intel Atom x3-C3230 quad-core processor with Mali 450 MP4 GPU, there are two variants, based on RAM and internal storage. The first one comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage and the second variant comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, both are expandable with microSD card. The Zenpad 7.0 comes with 5MP rear camera having Auto focus and no LED flash along with VGA front camera.

    All the basic connectivity features are present with 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is powered by a 3450mAh batter. There are DTH HD technology speakers to enhance the user experience. The rear camera comes with Asus’s Pixelmaster technology which is capable of shooting 720p videos. It runs on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 with ZenUI v2.0 on top.

    The Asus Zenpad 8.0 is powered by the 64-bit Octa-core Snapdragon 615 bit cortex A53 processor which is paired with 1GB / 2GB RAM and having 8GB / 16GB expandable storage which are the two variants of this model which are released today. The cameras on the Zenpad 8.0 are 8MP/5MP rear camera based on variants and a 2MP front camera. The rear camera is capable of shooting 1080p fullHD videos. The Zenpad 8.0 supports 4G LTE which its younger sibling does not support. It also sports a bigger battery with 4000mAh and this tablet also comes with DTS audio.

    Both the Zenpad 7.0 and Zenpad 8.0 come with replaceable Audio back cover, which adds six speakers to the back of your tablet to give DTS-HD 5.1 Surround Sound.

    It also runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Os out of the box with Zen UI v2.0 over it. The pricing of both the devices is as follows, the Zenpad 7.0 starts from Rs. 11,999 and the Zenpad 8.0 starts from Rs. 14,999.
