Samsung Galaxy M40 vs Redmi Note 7 Pro Comparison – Best mid-range phone?

Samsung’s latest Galaxy M40 smartphone is surely one to look out for, but there is one phone that is doing so well and is people’s usual choice in the mid-range pricing – the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro. This, therefore, is going to be one of the major comparisons of the two phones that fight it out to be called the best phone out there under Rs. 20000. Which phone will be the ultimate winner?

Galaxy M40 vs Redmi Note 7 Pro Design and Display Comparison

The design aspect is lead by Xiaomi here. It is a proper glass back with a sturdy feel, though looks are a little better on the Samsung phone but the Redmi Note 7 Pro as well reflects light well to make the back look classy. While holding the phones, they don’t differ much.

On the other side, even though we felt the colors are punchier on the Redmi Note 7 Pro, the Galaxy M40 clearly wins it with the punch-hole display that has the camera cutout and there is no notch on the top center area. It won’t practically make any difference but for the looks, it does look much better and this could be the first phone to have that display type in the mid-range category.

Camera comparison of Galaxy M40 and Redmi Note 7 Pro

This is an area where the wide-angle lens of the Samsung Galaxy M40 makes it a better choice over the Redmi Note 7 Pro, but the latter has the Sony IMX 586 sensor camera that is capable of some excellent shots, and given that it is the same processor, so the same ISP for the optimization of the captured pictures, so the sensor is capable of taking better pictures when compared to the 32-megapixel one that is given on the Samsung Galaxy M40.

Galaxy M40 vs Redmi Note 7 pro camera

It is a triple-lens camera combination offered on the Galaxy M40, while it is a Dual-lens one on the Redmi Note 7 Pro. For selfies, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front of the M40 while the Note 7 Pro houses a 13-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Now with the video recording and everything offered, it is almost the same but with the Galaxy M40, it is the wide angle lens that makes the difference here and it is clearly better in terms of what is offered.

Battery comparison – Which is better?

It is a clear victory for the Redmi Note 7 Pro in this case. A 4000 mAh battery is offered here in comparison to the 3500 mAh battery on the M40, and the fast charging is supported on both the phones. There is a good fight here but Redmi Note 7 Pro is already known to offer a great battery life, for over a day.
