Swipe Elite Sense FAQ, Pros & Cons – Everything you need to know

Swipe Elite Sense is a phone with 5-inch display and available for Rs. 7499 on Flipkart. The phone comes from the Indian smartphone brand named Swipe that has launched a good number of phones in the recent past with good specifications for the price and most of them are in a similar price range as this.

What is the display size and does Swipe Elite Sense have a screen protection?

The phone has a 5-inch 720p display with the resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and there is no such screen protection offered, though there is a screen guard placed by the company in the unit that we received. It is still suggested to place a tempered glass to keep the screen safe.

The Elite Sense is available in two colors – Champagne Gold and Space Grey.

How is the build quality of the phone?

The Elite Sense from Swipe does not have a metal body but it still is a unibody design with the plastic back having a brushed aluminum feel. It feels solid in the hand and has a perfect shape. The only little problem with the design is the placement of the physical buttons. The power key is located on the left frame, which seems odd as many would be habituated with one on the right side.

On the back, there is a different texture towards the top where the section that has the camera and LED flash. The phone also has a speaker on the back towards the bottom.

Are the navigation buttons backlit? Can we have the navigation buttons on the screen?

No, you cannot have any navigation button within the interface and the ones that are present outside it, i.e. below the screen are not backlit. These are just standard capacitive touch areas that need to be tapped for navigation.

How to access multitasking menu and recent apps on the phone?

Multitasking menu is where you can see which are the other apps running in the background. In the Swipe Elite Sense, you can access that by long pressing the Menu button on the left side in the navigation key bar.

Which processor is present in the device?

The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor and Adreno 306 GPU supports it for the graphics output.

No, there is no support for storage expansion in the Swipe Elite Sense smartphone.

What is the amount of free RAM available on the phone after a fresh boot?

Out of the 3GB of RAM included, the Elite Sense has about 1.9GB available for users to multitask and use multiple apps in the background without having to worry about closing it.

What are the pre-installed apps in the Swipe Elite Sense?

There are only a few third-party apps pre-loaded onto the phone, and apart from the Google and system apps, there are Dailyhunt, Saavn, I Feel Safe, Opera Mini, FM Radio, and Xender apps that come pre-installed in the phone.

Does the Elite Sense have support for FM Radio?

Yes, there is support for FM radio and the phone has a separate app for the same and you will have to insert the headphone in order to start using the FM.

Is there a LED notification light present on the Swipe Elite Sense?

Yes, a notification light is present just below the set of sensors on the top, and there is only a narrow gap present between the LED notification light and the display.

What are the sensors present in the phone?

The sensors included in the Swipe Elite Sense include an accelerometer, light sensor, proximity sensor, and a step detector sensor.

Yes, there is a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone and it not just helps in unlocking the phone but there are some other features attached to it as well.

Does the phone have support for Jio SIM?

Yes, the first SIM slot in the phone has VoLTE feature (Voice over LTE) and thus it can easily run the Jio SIM and even if there was no VoLTE, the presence of 4G LTE is enough to support the Jio SIM, only that you need to have Jio4GVoice app in order to make calls through the SIM.

What about the camera combination on the phone?

The device has a camera combination of a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

The rear camera has HDR, OptiZoom, Portrait, Landscape, Sports, Flowers, Backlight, Candlelight, Sunset, Night, Beach and Snow modes. There are some filters present as well, and even for the rear camera, there are options for face beautification. There is countdown timer, continuous shot feature, and Red eye reduction and the user can use some manual options like ISO, Exposure, and White balance.

Is there a support for 4K video recording on the rear camera?

No, the 13-megapixel back camera of the Elite Sense can record 1080p resolution videos at max, and there is no support for 4K video recording.
