Honor 8 Pro with 6GB RAM, Android 7.0 Nougat announced

Huawei’s Honor brand has taken wraps off the Honor 8 Pro in the Honor 8 series, and it is also the most powerful Honor branded smartphone till date. The company is also bundling VR cardboard glasses within the box; this surely is an impressive addition. The device runs on Android 7.0 nougat with EMUI 5.0 on top.

The Honor 8 Pro sports a 5.7-inches Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) LTPS 2.5D curved glass display, 515 PPI and is powered by the Kirin 960 SoC clocked at 2.4GHz Octa-Core processor with Mali G71 Octa-core GPU. It packs 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 128GB. The Honor 8 Pro runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Emotion UI 5.1.

Moving to the camera department, there is a 12-megapixel (Monochrome) + 12-megapixel (RGB) Dual rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash, a f/2.2 aperture that can record UHD 4K videos. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls. The device features a Fingerprint sensor for extra security, Infrared sensor. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C. A 4000mAh (typical) / 3900mAh (minimum) battery with fast charging support onboard for all the battery requirements.

Pricing and Availability: The Honor 8 Pro is priced at 474.99 GBP in the UK and 549 Euros in Europe. The device is available to Pre-order from Honor’s vMall.eu in three different bundles and goes on sale from Amazon from April 20th.
