Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro launched in India – Pricing, availability and launch offers

After over a month of teasing the Redmi Note 7 Pro, Xiaomi has finally announced the Redmi Note 7 pro on Thursday at an event in Delhi. The brand has also launched the Redmi Note 7 smartphone making India the first market to get the new smartphone. The pro variant is a major upgrade over the original Redmi Note 7 in multiple ways including an upgraded processor, increased storage and improved optics.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC based on an 11nm process. The display on the Redmi Note 7 measures 6.3-inches diagonally and comes with an Aura Design. The display has a water-drop notch and comes with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The front and the back of the device have a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection for increased protection. The optics on the Redmi Note 7 Pro are very impressive, the rear camera includes a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture while the secondary 5MP sensor is used mainly for depth sensing. The front shooter is a 13MP sensor and now supports recording in 4K resolution. The battery on the Redmi Note 7 Pro is of 4,000mAh capacity and supports Quick Charge 4.0.

The Redmi Note 7 comes with a very similar design as the Redmi Note 7 Pro with small sacrifices in the performance. Unlike the Redmi Note 7 Pro, the Redmi Note 7 has a slightly dated Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor.  The top variant of the Redmi Note 7 comes with 4GB of RAM unlike the 6GB RAM in the Redmi Note 7 Pro, the camera also has got a downgrade and the smartphone has a 12MP primary sensor with a 2MP secondary sensor, the front camera is a 13MP shooter even on this smartphone.

The Redmi Note 7 starts at a price of Rs 9,999 for the base model with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage while the higher end 4GB RAM variant with 64GB internal storage is available for Rs 11,999. The Redmi Note 7 Pro starts at a price of Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM variant with 64GB internal storage, the 6GB RAM variant with 128GB internal storage is available for Rs 16,999. The smartphone will be available for sale starting March 13th at 12 PM IST, the device is available in three colors, Neptune Blue, Nebula Red, and Space Black.

The devices will be available on Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home stores, the brand has also partnered with Airtel to provide up to 1,120 GB of 4G high-speed data, unlimited calling, and Airtel TV Premium subscription.
