Cheapest Vi Voice Calling Plans: ₹179, ₹185 and Longer-Validity Options Explained

Plans checked on 30 October 2026. Live listings were checked for the Maharashtra & Goa circle. Availability and benefits should be confirmed for the number being recharged.

Vi users who mainly need phone calls now have several prepaid options without bundled mobile data. The operator’s live recharge website lists short-duration voice-and-SMS plans starting at ₹179, alongside 84-day and annual options.

However, the cheapest recharge to buy today is not necessarily the cheapest plan to keep using throughout the year. Validity makes a substantial difference, especially when two packs are priced only a few rupees apart.

Vi ₹179 plan: the lowest upfront standard voice-only option checked

The ₹179 voice-only pack includes:

  • Unlimited calling.
  • 300 SMS in total.
  • 25 days of validity.
  • No bundled mobile data.

This was the lowest-priced standard voice-and-SMS-only pack found in the live Maharashtra & Goa listings during our check. It can suit someone who wants to spend as little as possible on the next recharge and mainly uses their phone for calls.

Its effective cost is approximately ₹7.16 per day. That makes it cheaper to buy upfront than the ₹185 pack, but more expensive per day.

Vi’s detailed listing states that SMS beyond the allowance cost ₹1 for local messages and ₹1.50 for STD messages. It also lists data usage at 50 paise per MB, so users who do not want mobile internet charges should keep mobile data switched off.

Vi ₹185 plan: three extra days for ₹6 more

The ₹185 pack offers:

  • Unlimited calling.
  • 300 SMS in total.
  • 28 days of validity.
  • No bundled mobile data.

Compared with the ₹179 pack, it costs just ₹6 more and adds three days of validity. Its effective cost is around ₹6.61 per day, making it the better-value choice between these two packs for continuous use.

A 28-day recharge is not a calendar-month plan. Its next renewal moves through the calendar as each 28-day period ends.

Vi ₹203 and ₹206 plans: 30 days or one month

Vi also lists two options for users who prefer a longer short-duration recharge:

  • ₹203: Unlimited calling and 300 SMS, valid for 30 days.
  • ₹206: Unlimited calling and 300 SMS, valid for one month.

Neither includes bundled mobile data. The ₹203 option works out to roughly ₹6.77 per day. The daily cost of the ₹206 pack depends on the length of the applicable monthly period.

These can be convenient for users who prefer 30-day or monthly validity, although the ₹185 pack has a lower daily cost than the ₹203 option.

Vi ₹470 plan: lower running cost over 84 days

For users who can spend more in one recharge, the ₹470 plan includes unlimited calling and 900 SMS over 84 days, without bundled mobile data.

Its effective cost is approximately ₹5.60 per day.

The saving becomes clear when comparing equal validity: three ₹185 recharges provide 84 days and cost ₹555. The ₹470 pack covers the same number of days for ₹85 less, with the same combined allowance of 900 SMS.

Vi ₹1,849 annual plan: lowest daily cost among these options

The ₹1,849 recharge includes unlimited calling and 3,600 SMS over 365 days, with no bundled mobile data.

That works out to approximately ₹5.07 per day, or ₹154.08 per month when the annual price is divided by 12. The monthly figure is only a budgeting comparison; the full ₹1,849 must be paid upfront.

Among the standard voice-only plans compared here, this has the lowest daily cost. It suits someone who is comfortable committing to Vi for a year and already knows the network works well where they use it.

What about Vi’s cheaper ₹140 recharge?

Vi lists a ₹140 recharge with unlimited calling for 15 days, but it is restricted to select eligible HMD/Nokia feature phones under the Vi–HMD Super Saver Offer.

The operator explicitly states that recharge attempts by non-eligible users will not succeed. It should therefore not be presented as a general low-cost option for every Vi customer.

Is the ₹199 plan worth considering?

Vi’s 28-day page also lists a ₹199 pack with unlimited calling and 2GB of total data.

Compared with the ₹185 voice-only pack, that is ₹14 extra for 2GB over the same 28-day period. Someone who occasionally needs mobile internet may find that small additional spend worthwhile. Someone who reliably uses Wi-Fi and needs only calls and SMS can save with the voice-only option.

The 2GB allowance is for the entire pack period, not 2GB per day.

Which Vi calling plan should you choose?

  • Lowest upfront standard voice-only price checked: ₹179 for 25 days.
  • Better value for a small extra spend: ₹185 for 28 days.
  • Fixed 30-day validity: ₹203.
  • Monthly validity: ₹206.
  • Lower daily cost without an annual commitment: ₹470 for 84 days.
  • Lowest daily cost among the plans compared: ₹1,849 for 365 days.
  • Occasional mobile data needed: Consider the ₹199, 28-day pack with 2GB total data.

Before paying, select the correct telecom circle and confirm the benefits against your Vi number. Low-priced talktime top-ups, caller-tune packs and data add-ons should not be mistaken for standalone unlimited-calling plans with service validity.
