Audio-Technica Noise Canceling Headphones

Audio-Technica launches Noise-canceling headphones, priced from $100

At the CES 2019 in Las Vegas, the audio brand Audio-Technica has unveiled a lot of products, but the focus was on the noise-canceling headphone range, and that includes not just the over-ear options but also the in-ear ones. The best in the lot is the ATH-ANC900BT over-ear headphones that are priced at $300. The entire range, though, is said to be the best from the company in canceling background noise.

The ATH-ANC900BT over-ear headphones uses the new digital hybrid noise cancellation technology, which are using multiple microphones and noise-isolation techniques in eliminating a wider range of sounds in a wider frequency range. The control system on the headphones has a touch and swipe gesture response, and there is a switchable quick hear-through feature where you can choose to have either total noise cancellation or can hear environmental sounds. The switching can be done by only the touch of a button. These headphones are said to be offering about 35 hours of battery life and the connectivity is through the latest Bluetooth 5.0.

The second in the list is the ATH-ANC500BT that is a mid-range option and is not heavy with the features offered. The battery life is not close to the above option, as it gives about 20 hours of battery life and it is not as effective in cancellation background noise. The ATH-ANC500BT is priced at $100 and it comes with the advanced ANC circuitry to offset ambient sound. The earcups and controls of the headset are present in the earcup itself.

Lastly, there is an in-ear model – ATH-ANC100BT. These come with the 12mm drivers, and they are said to offer about 10 hours of continuous Bluetooth and noise-cancellation usage on a single charge. They come in different size options for the eartips, and even this model is priced at $100.

All the models will be available in Spring this year. At the CES, there were some other audio accessories launched as well, with Jabra launching the Jabra Elite 85h noise canceling headphones.
