Panasonic Eluga Icon with 8MP selfie camera launched in India for Rs. 10,999

    Panasonic has been teasing about an upcoming smartphone in the past few days, and it is now all set to launch the new Eluga Icon tonight at 12.00 a.m. on Amazon India. The smartphone will be sporting a 5.5 inch HD IPS display with enhanced colors. It is powered by 1.5 GHz True Octa Core Processor which is supported by 2GB RAM and comes with 16GB internal memory which is expandable to 32GB with microSD card.

    The camera on Eluga icon is a 13MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash. The front camera is a 8MP shooter. The Eluga Icon comes with ICON User interface which gives single tap access to apps like iSense which Panasonic has been teasing as Gesture controls. It features unique hand hover gesture based functionality, smart awake feature which will let you turn on the screen with double tap which was seen in Moto X earlier. Air Swipe to Unlock the display feature is also made available.

    Eluga Icon BatteryThere are other features like Hot-Knot which will let you transfer data and Blink Play feature which will let you take selfies with the 8MP front camera by just blinking your Eye, this feature was introduced in the Eluga S. The ICON user interface also gives many features which automatically arranges apps in thematic folders and complex functional menus are made simple.

    The Eluga Icon comes with 4G LTE capability, which has become a must have feature in smartphones. It is powered by a 3500 mAh battery, which is more than what other devices are providing in the similar price range like Lenovo K3 Note and YU Yureka Plus.  From the design aspect the Eluga Icon is aesthetically pleasing with a uni-body design and color it looks and feels great in your hand. It weighs 147 grams and measures just 7.9 mm in thickness.

    With a price tag on Rs. 10,999 the Panasonic Eluga Icon has been launched to compete with the YU Yureka Plus and Lenovo K3 Note which sport similar display sizes. You can get your hands on the device through Amazon India from 12.00 a.m. tonight.
