Polaroid announces Wi-Fi Enabled PD-W63C dashcam at CES 2016

Polaroid a trusted brand in Photographic and Video Recording technology has announced their latest device in the dashcam line up called the Polaroid PD-W63C which is a Wi-Fi enabled  dashcam for consumers in US. similar to their other dash cams models, the PD-W63C gives drivers a hands-free camera to record all the events occurring on road while on road along with giving peace of mind.

Polaroid President and CEO, Scott W. Hardy, said, “Polaroid became a trusted brand for families seeking ways to easily capture and share life’s moments” he added “As we continue to grow our product offering, we are pleased to announce the addition of a Wi-Fi enabled model to our already wide array of dashcams. Now consumers have the ability to instantly share their road trip memories or quickly provide documentation of incidents while out on the road for even more peace of mind”.

With the PD-W63C dashcam you can record 1296p HD Video on the go. The camera is compact and comes with a 2.0″ LED display screen which is paired with a wide 150-degree angle lens, this lets users to capture a wide angle  view of the surroundings which can record unforeseen events from a picturesque views. It comes with Android or iOS App which is connected using the WiFi capability of the dashcam, it allows instant sharing of videos with friends and family. For recording any unforeseen event like an accident it comes with built-in 3-axis G-force sensor, enabling hands-free video recording in the event of an accident. Emergency recording capabilities are automatically triggered when an accident occurs.

These recordings are automatically dated and time stamped, protected from loop recording overwrites and saved on a Micro-SD card which has a limit up to 64GB. It comes with a flexible mounting bracket, a car charger and an extra-long power cord which allows you to mount the camera not just on your dashboard but anywhere in the vehicle. If you connect it to the ignition switch, the camera will turn on automatically when the ignition is turned on and turns off when the ignition is turned off.

Along with the Polaroid PD-W63C there will be other Polaroid dashcams displayed at the Polaroid booth #13514 at the 2016 International Consumer Electronics Show, January 6-9 in Las Vegas. The other models displayed are Polaroid PD-W63C, Polaroid PD-G55H, Polaroid PD-S53H and Polaroid PD-X51S. The PD-W63C will be available from Q1 of 2016 in select retailers at a price of $119.99.
