Which are the bands supported in the 4G LTE services provided by Idea?
Idea has its 4G service only on the Band3 / 1800 MHz one and thus if you want to use it, you should have a 4G supported smartphone that supports this particular band with 1800 MHz frequency.
Is the 4G speed plan dependent?
The speeds depend on the number of devices using it around you, and not the plan. Even if you buy a 1GB plan or a 10GB one, the speeds will remain the same and you might just be consuming data faster than what you used to do with the 2G or 3G networks.
How do I activate 4G to use Idea 4G on my phone?
iOS phones: Settings-> Mobile Data-> Select LTE

Does 4G data consume more battery?

Idea 4G LTE Netsetter: It is a plug and play dongle with a MicroSD card slot as well, and it is not a Wi-Fi hotspot and can provide Internet only to the computer or laptop it is attached to. There is support for SMS, and the netsetter comes with an easy Web UI.
Idea 4G LTE Smartwifi Hub: It is a Wi-Fi hotspot that has just a simple button to press and start sharing the data network, with up to 10 devices around it. The battery life is said to be about 6 hours and the standby time is about 300 hours.
