Coolpad A1 and Coolpad Mega 4A with HD display launched in India

Coolpad has launched two new entry-level smartphones with 4G VoLTE support. The phone’s pricing starts at 4,299 and will be sold offline only. The company also plans to launch more aggressive offline devices in a coming couple of months.

Coolpad A1

The new Coolpad A1 comes with a 5-inch HD display with a 1280x720p resolution. The phone packs in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset with Adreno 304 GPU, paired with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of expandable storage up to 64 GB with a microSD card. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat.

Coolpad A1 has an 8 MP rear camera with an LED flash, while on the front we are greeted by a 5 MP selfie shooter. The phone is powered by a 2500 mAh battery. It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and supports FM Radio. The phone supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi.

Commenting on the launch, Syed Tajuddin, CEO, Coolpad India, said:
In an effort to make some formidable presence in the offline market in India, we are looking forward to introduce some strongly competitive offline exclusive devices Coolpad A1 and Coolpad Mega 4A one of them. The device will offer a good value proposition to the customers and comes with all features to handle the task with absolute efficiency. We are also planning to introduce few more aggressive offline devices in next 2-3 months, in order make an expansion in the offline market through our retails partners and multi-brand outlets. We are expecting that Coolpad will be able to make a strong presence in offline market by the end of 2018.

Coolpad Mega 4A

The Coolpad Mega 4A features a similar 5-inch HD display as the A1 with a 1280x720p resolution. The phone is powered by a quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832 chipset clocked at 1.3 GHz with Mali 400 MP2 GPU. The phone comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of expandable storage up to 32 GB with a microSD card. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat.

Coolpad A1

The Mega 4A comes with a 5 MP rear camera and an LED flash, On the front, there’s a 5 MP front-facing camera. The phone is powered by a 2000 mAh battery. It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and supports FM Radio. The phone supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi.

Pricing & Availability
Both the phones, Mega 4A and Coolpad A1 come in Gold color, are priced at INR 4299 and INR 5,499, respectively. As for the availability, the phones are available from, April 12th and can be purchased from 3000 multi-brand stores across 8 states: Delhi NCR, Haryana, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.
