Seagate has recently announced their new range of 12 TB internal hard drives, Seagate BarraCuda Pro & Seagate Ironwolf Pro, in India. The two hard drives cater the creative professionals and tech enthusiasts. Both the drives come with AgileArray NAS-optimisation.
Seagate BarraCuda Pro
The Seagate BarraCuda Pro comes with a fast 7200 RPM spin speeds to help read and write files faster, unlike the 5400 RPM drives that considerably slower. The BarraCuda Pro claims to offer SSD like performance and responsiveness when coupled with Intel’s Optane memory. The BarraCuda Pro drives have a maximum transfer rate of 220 MB/s using SATA 6 GB/s connection. The hard drive comes with a 5-year limited warranty, with data rescue services as a standard for 2 years.
The BarraCuda range of hard drives come equipped with Multi-Tier Caching Technology (MTC), which is said to load the applications and files faster.
