Reliance 4G VoLTE enabled landline phone with Android 5.1 launched

Reliance India has launched the India’s first 4G VoLTE enabled Landline phone that runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and also has support for SIM slot and connects up to 8 devices wirelessly using the Hotspot feature on board. It is a smartphone that basically comes with a traditional landline phone design which every house in India are used to until the smartphone have taken over them.

It comes with a 3.5-inches TFT Color touchscreen display; it can send, receive messages and can also run Android apps just like your typical smartphone. You can use it consume multimedia files like audio and video. You can use it to make High-Quality HD Voice calls, browse the internet as it has the 4G VoLTE support by default.

It is also capable of cascading of YouTube to your Smart TV. So basically what you are getting is a traditional landline phone that comes with features like SIM slot, 4G VoLTE, Android 5.1, texting and calling.

Reliance has also introduced the plans for this VoLTE enabled HomePhone, the 4G Smart Life 299 and 4G Smart Life 499 monthly plans that are priced at Rs.299 and Rs.499 that offer 2GB and 4GB data, respectively depending on the plan you chose. Apart from the 4G data, these plans come with 300 minutes of voice calling (local, STD and roaming) and tariff after free minutes cost 40 paise per minute. SMS will cost 25 paise for local and 38 paise for STD both while roaming and in the home location.
