YU Televentures, a sub-brand of Micromax Informatics, has launched their first Android-based Smart TV, the YU YUPHORIA Smart TV, today in India. Prior to this, the company had only launched smartphones under the YU branding.
YU YUPHORIA TV
The YU YUPHORIA Smart TV features a 40″ Full HD display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The panel has a contrast ratio of 5000:1 and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The Smart TV is powered by a Quad-core processor, paired with a Dual-core GPU which handles all the graphics. The TV uses Android OS, however, comes with Aptoide App Store to download all the apps required.
The speakers on the YU YUPHORIA TV offers 24 W sound output. For the connectivity, the TV has 3 HDMI 2.0 ports, 2 USB ports, as well as a VGA port. The TV also offers Wireless connectivity options such as AirPlay, Wireless smartphone control which lets users connect their smartphones to the tv and control or even game on the TV.
Pricing and Availability of YU YUPHORIA Smart TV
The Yu YUPHORIA Smart TV comes is priced at INR 18,499 and is available from today, exclusively on Amazon India, through an open sale.
