Airtel Offers Free Talk Time, 50 MB data etc for prepaid Chennai customers

Airtel has announced offer for free advance Talk Time credit for its users in Chennai, looking at the Chennai Floods which are creating havoc in the city. Airtel has taken this great initiative by offering auto approval of Talktime credit of up to Rs.30 for prepaid customers along with Airtel to Airtel 10 minutes calling for 2 days.

They are also offering 50MB of mobile data for prepaid customers with a validity of 2 days to help connect users stuck in floods with their loved ones. As for postpaid customers along with fixed line users with due date of bill payment, will be getting extended time to make payment and the connection will not be cut due to lack of payment.

Airtel Chennai floods

  • Talktime – Rs. 30, Auto approval of ‘Talk Time’ credit for all Airtel Prepaid customers. It can be availed by dialing 52141 or *141*10#
  • Mobile Data: 50MB, free mobile data for all Airtel Prepaid customers with a validity of 2 days.
  • Airtel to Airtel: Free 10 minutes of talk time with 2 days validity
  • Postpaid and Landline customers: The due date for bill payments has been extended

This is a good initiative by Airtel to help its customers in this hard time who might have finished their balance and have no way of recharging. this will help connecting family members and letting them know the situation. Airtel also mentioned that it is relentlessly working on improving the mobile service which has been affected due to power failures across Chennai.
