Kiddle is a Google for Kids, with filtered search results

Ever felt what your kids might find while searching for something on Google, with search results varying sometimes and explicit content showing up might be harmful for kids who are not under supervision. With the world wide web open with all types of content, it is necessary for a parent to keep an eye out while kids are on it.

This is where Kiddle comes in, it is a child-friendly Search Engine having a resemblance to Google in many ways and also using a Google custom Search bar, which is embedded in the site and filters out adult content. The Logo of Kiddle resembles the search engine giants logo with multi-color alphabet sand the layout below the search bar having Web, Images, News and Video being shown.

To provide safe search results, the search engine is blocking a number of search terms and also certain celebrities which might lead to adult content being shown. We cannot say that the site is hundred percent free from deceptive content at the moment as we could find some search results showing adult content which we feel the company will filter out.

Explaining about the manner in which the search results are shown, the first three results area safe sites and pages which are written specifically keeping kids in mind. The next four search results have content written in simple language and the results that are shown after that are general search results which are not specifically targetted at kids but are filtered by Google Safe Search as well.

The Theme and layout of the Search Engine is very similar to Google and the search results are children friendly, as seen in Google there are ads as well seen on the right side of the search results. All in all a good initiative to keep your children away from all the deceptive content available on the world wide web through kiddle.co.
