Micromax reveals new logo, a bunch of devices including 15 smartphones

Micromax, the Indian smartphone brand at an event today has announced a bunch of new smartphones while unveiling the new logo, which is to go along with the #GutsToChange hashtag on Twitter, marking a new branding for the company.

The company aims to be the top Services company in the country and is on a path of becoming an Internet company from being a Mobile company right now. The “Around Yu” platform that was announced in the past will now be called “Around” and it will be a part of every Micromax smartphone shipped from now.

The recent partnership with Transerv also will help Micromax have a payment solution in the smartphone for users, and the company is now working on Consumer durables including Laptops, Tablets, Smartphones, and TVs.

To support the Make in India campaign, the company is now looking to have a 100% production in India, from the 60% that it has been able to do currently. For this, there is a commitment to manufacture products in four plants across the company.

Apart from the smartphones that are listed here, the company is launching new LED TVs with 50-inch, 40-inch and 32-inch screen sizes, and 4G tablet devices with Indus Language solution. Here is the list of smartphones announced by the company.

The new logo was unveiled by the company (which they call as Micromax 3.0 for the new identity), and it was done by the four founders of the company. The new tagline for the company is now “Nuts. Guts. Glory”, from the “Nothing like Anything” previously.

While announcing the new identity, Mr. Shubhajit Sen, CMO and Mr. Ajay Sharma, business head of Micromax also talked about the targets, one of them being that the company wants to be among the top five brands in the world.
