OnePlus has unveiled the launch date of their upcoming smartphone, the OnePlus 6. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has confirmed that their upcoming flagship killer will be launched in India on May 17th at a launch event in Mumbai. The phone will be launched globally at the launch event in London on May 16.
The Amazon exclusive smartphone will be first available for the Prime Members as an early access sale, on May 21, 2018. The company has said that the OnePlus 6 launch event will be the biggest ever community event ever in history. OnePlus has also mentioned that the OnePlus Community at the event, will be the first people to experience the OnePlus 6. Additionally attendees would be getting their hands on loads of official OnePlus goodies and exclusive Marvel Avengers X OnePlus merchandise.
So far, the company has confirmed that their new smartphone will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 845 chipset, will have a notch on the top, a headphone jack and will possibly be water resistant. The company has been teasing the public for quite sometime now through their teasers and trailers. OnePlus has released few images and teasers on their official twitter handle which hints us that the phone will come with a glass back and might be placing the alert slider on the right side this time.
According to the rumors, the phone is said to come with a rear mounted fingerprint scanner along with the dual cameras. The cameras on the rear are expected to be a 20 MP + 16 MP cameras with a f/1.7 aperture lens on both the cameras. The Selfie camera on the phone is a 20 MP f/2.0 shooter. Additionally, Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus has confirmed that the upcoming flagship is going to feature a 256 GB storage variant with 8 GB of RAM, and it is expected to the cost around USD 700 or INR 45,600 approx.
