Huawei P10 to be officially announced at MWC 2017

Huawei’s P10; the next iteration in the P-series was in the news from past one month, though no official launch date was known up until yesterday. Today the company has officially sent out media Invites for the launch of the flagship. The company has released a new teaser image along with a video teaser confirming the dual rear camera setup similar to the P9. The teaser video showcases the all new Blue color, Champagne Gold and a new Green color as rumored earlier.

Moving on to the rumored specifications, the Huawei P10 sports a 5.2-inches Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) AMOLED 2.5d curved glass display. It is powered by the Huawei Kirin 960 SoC Octa-Core processor with Mali G71 Octa-core GPU. The Huawei P10 comes in two models, one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and the other one with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage with a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 256GB. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Emotion UI 5.0 right out of the box.

In the camera department, the Huawei P10 features a 20-megapixel (Monochrome) + 12MP (RGB) Dual rear cameras from Leica with f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, Laser AF, OIS. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel shooter with f/1.9 aperture. The Huawei P10 also rocks a Fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC. A 3,100 mAh battery with fast charging is on board. It packs a 3,100 mAh battery with fast charging support.

It also has a bigger variant; the P10 Plus that sports a bigger 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED curved display and is powered by the same Kirin 960 Octa-Core processor with Mali G71 Octa-core GPU. It packs 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and a high-end model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The P10 Plus also runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Rest of the specifications remain the same as the regular P10, but this one comes with a bigger 3,650mAh battery with fast charging support.
