Kult Impulse with 5.99-inch display, 4000 mAh battery launched in India

Indian smartphone maker Kult has unveiled their latest smartphone, Kult Impulse, today, in New Delhi. The sub-10k smartphone comes with the modern 18:9 display, which the company likes to call it, TruView display. The phone has a design that is reminiscent of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5.

The Kult Impulse sports a 5.99 inch HD+ TruView display with a resolution of 720×1440 pixels. The phone is powered by a quad-core Mediatek 6739 chipset with Mali-T720 MP1 GPU. It comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 64 GB, via a microSD card. The phone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Nitesh Gupta, Director, New Product Development, Kult, said,

The Impulse has a single 13 MP rear camera with an F/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash. To the front, we get a similar 13 MP camera along with a selfie flash, to brighten up your selfies. The selfie camera can also be used for unlocking the phone through the face unlock feature.

He further added.

Impulse packs in a massive 4000 mAh battery, which is said to provide up to 12 days of stand-by time on LTE. Along with face unlock, the phone also comes with a rear mounted fingerprint scanner, for added security.

For the sensors, the phone has Accelerometer, Proximity, Ambient Light Sensor and a Gyro sensor. There’s a micro USB port with OTG Support, FM Radio, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, for connectivity.

Pricing and Availability of Kult Impulse

The Kult Impulse will be available in India at a price of Rs 8,999, starting May 15. It comes with an exclusive Reliance JIO offer of Rs.2,200/- cash back applicable on select recharge plans for new and existing JIO customers.
