LG G7 leaked renders suggest an RGBW Panel, thinner chin and a “Top notch”

The LG G7, the successor of G6 that is yet to be released has started to surface online thanks to the leaks from different sources. LG is going to join the notch club, which has become a trend in 2018, with its newest flagship.
New leaks suggest the screen is going to be using an M+ LCD, RGBW panel that is said to reduce the power usage by 35%. This is achieved by using the new white pixels along with the usual RGB pixels.
As we already know, the LG G7 is going to sport a glorious notch on the top, with a thin chin at the bottom. The screen is expected to be 6 inches tall with an unusual 19:9 aspect ratio. The notch is said to house a selfie camera with an ambient light sensor and the usual earpiece.

LG G7 is going to retain its 3.5mm headphone jack and hopefully the same quad DAC as we saw in this year’s LG V30s Thinq. On the back, the new G7 will have a camera combination of 16 MP + 16 MP dual camera that is said to have an aperture of f/1.5. The phone is also expected to a vertical camera placement differing from the usual horizontal placement.
The G7 is said to come with this year’s beefy Snapdragon 845 with 4 GB/ 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB/ 128 GB of storage respectively. The phone is said to have a glass sandwich design with dimensions 153.2 x 71.9 x 8.2mm. Thanks to the camera bump, at its thickest side, the G7 is said to be 8.5 mm thick.

The phone is said to come with AI as a prime focus and also feature a dedicated button on its left. We have already seen LG step into the AI game with the V30s Thinq edition. Q voice and Q Lens are two other AI features that LG is going to be focusing on, as well.

According to the renders, the G7 features a power button on the right and a fingerprint scanner on the back. This is something new since up until now LG has been placing its power button on the rear with fingerprint scanner underneath the button. The LG G7 would be announced by the end of April and it should be available in Korea from mid-May.
