After multiple rumors and leaks, Samsung has finally announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, in India, today. The phone comes with dual rear cameras and runs on Android Oreo. The phone also comes with Samsung Pay, payment services.
Samsung Galaxy A8 Star
The Galaxy A8 Star comes with a 6.28-inch FullHD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2220 pixels. Powering the device is the octa-core Snapdragon 660 chipset with Adreno 512 GPU handling the graphics. It comes with 64 GB LPDDR4X RAM with 64 GB of internal storage. The phone also offers a microSD card slot, with which users can expand the storage up to an extra 256 GB. As mentioned earlier, the phones run on Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung Experience 9.0 on top.
In the camera department, the Galaxy A8 Star comes features dual rear cameras, with a 16 MP primary sensor with a f/1.7 aperture and a 24 MP secondary camera with an LED flash. The company likes to call its dual camera setup as Dual Intellicam, which is said to optimize the settings according to the lighting conditions intelligently.
To the front, the phone features a 24 MP selfie shooter behind the f/2.0 lens. The cameras offer modes such as Smart Beauty, Pro Lighting, and AR stickers.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star packs in a massive 3700 mAh battery with support for fast charging. The phone has support for 4G VoLTE, 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS with GLONASS and Bluetooth 5.0 LE. It features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, as well as offers, face unlock, for security.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star comes in Black color. The phone is priced at INR 34,990 and will be available as an Amazon India exclusive, starting August 27th.
