Samsung Galaxy J6 receives a price cut for the 64 GB storage variant in India

Days after the Galaxy On6 went on sale, Samsung has announced a price cut for the Samsung Galaxy J6 smartphone, which was launched a month ago. In what seems like an attempt to increase the sales of the J6, Samsung had announced the price cut of Rs. 500 for the 4 GB RAM & 64 GB variant only. The 3 GB RAM with 32 GB storage variant still retails for the same price as when it launched. The J6 sports a similar specification set as the recently launched Galaxy On6.

The Galaxy J6 sports a 5.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1480×720 pixels. A 2.5D curved glass covers the 18.5:9 Infinity display. Powering the phone is the homegrown Exynos 7870 with Mali-T830 GPU. It comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage or 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, expandable up to 256 GB using a microSD card. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung own Experience UI on top.

As for the cameras, the Galaxy J6 comes with a 13 MP rear camera, with a f/1.9 aperture. To the front, there’s an 8 MP selfie shooter which sits behind a similar f/1.9 lens. An LED flash assists both the rear and the front cameras.

The Samsung Galaxy J6 comes with a 3000 mAh battery underneath. The phone has support for 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS. It comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner that sits right underneath the camera. The phone weighs 154 gms and has a thickness of 8.2 mm.

Updated Pricing and Availability of Samsung Galaxy J6

The Samsung Galaxy J6 comes in two colors – Black and Blue. The pricing of the phone 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB storage is set at INR 13,999. The 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant which was earlier retailing for INR 16,490, is now priced at INR 15,999. The phone is available for purchase through Flipkart and Samsung Shop online and is also available across all major retailers in India.

Additionally, Samsung has also opened their new manufacturing unit in India, which is the World’s Largest Mobile Manufacturing unit.

  2. Specifications looks hoods but price is on a higher side so a price range of 12,000- 13,000 RS for top variant would have been more reasonable, thanks
