Samsung Galaxy S9 benchmarked ahead of launch, powered by Exynos 9810

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Samsung Galaxy S9+ have been the most speculated smartphone in the recent past and we’ve most of the details ahead of its launch in MWC 2018. Samsung is expected to host its Galaxy Unpacked event in Barcelona on 25th of February where it is expected to launch its new flagship. In the latest leak, the Samsung Galaxy S9 has been spotted on the Geekbench in all its glory.

Samsung has maintained its secrecy and hasn’t revealed too many details about the upcoming flagship, we know that the Samsung Galaxy S9 along with the Galaxy S9+ will be launched on February 25 at MWC. With less than two weeks to go for the launch, the Galaxy S9 has popped up in Geekbench which is a famous benchmarking utility. The smartphone comes with the model number “SM-G960F” and shows some of its specifications including the processor and RAM.

The numbers on Geekbench acquired by the Galaxy S9 are impressive and the device is expected to be powered by Exynos 9810 processor along with 4GB of RAM and this variant resulted in a single core score of 3648 while the multi-core score stood at 8895. The Exynos 9810 will be an octa-core processor developed by Samsung in-house.

Samsung had earlier talked about their new Exynos 9 Series 9810 SoC that is built on its second generation 10nm FinFETprocess technology. The company has claimed that the Exynos 9 Series 9810 is its most innovative mobile processor yet and is meant for AI applications as well as better multimedia content support. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ are expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset in a few regions including USA and China. According to the reports and company claims, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset is expected to perform about 31 percent better in terms of absolute performance compared to its predecessor.

The other details that were revealed by the Geekbench results inform us that the device will be running on Android Oreo. Also, a new user manual has been found on the Samsung’s official website which gives us a look at a new wireless charger that has been designed for the Galaxy S9. The upcoming Samsung Wireless Charger will be available in both Black and White color options and will be priced roughly around Rs 60000.
