As usual, the Apple iPhone models are all confusing with the model numbers and part numbers, and while some come with the network locks, some are unlocked. There are certain differences between each of them and thus, we here talk about the iPhone XS and its different model numbers so that you have enough knowledge to understand about that particular model, its network limitations, and the restrictions before you purchase the right model for the network you use.

iPhone XS A2098 Model – Countries, Bands, Part Numbers

This is a model specifically made and available for the Japanese market. The reason is that this model has a few network bands that are only used by the network providers there. There is a band 11 for au and Softbank, band 21 for Docomo, and the same carriers also have the band 42.

One of the other differences that his model number has with the others across the globe is that there is a shutter sound while capturing pictures and this cannot be turned off, as it is a step taken in the country to avoid cover photography, and with that, the privacy of the people is protected.

This is the Chinese model of the iPhone XS. The iPhone XS in China does not have a Dual SIM card support and that is with both, either the physical Dual SIM or the eSIM option. It is always a single SIM option for the iPhone in China.

The carriers supported in China are China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom.
