Coolpad hasn’t made any announcement of a partnership with Reliance for the Jio SIM Welcome Offer, but we contacted the company to find out which phones have a proper support for the same because you can now directly get a Jio SIM card if you have a 4G phone and all the Coolpad phones have the 4G LTE connectivity, but the question that many have is about the VoLTE support.
If you didn’t know, VoLTE or Voice-over-LTE is a feature that is needed in the phone if you wanted to make calls over data connectivity, and it is only Jio on which data calls are made, as the entire network works in that way and normal calls don’t happen unlike how it is with other networks. Jio is an IP based network.
If your phone doesn’t have VoLTE, you can still make voice calls because of the Jio4GVoice app from Reliance which makes it possible in setting up the phone for calling through data. Now, if you are using Jio4GVoice, you need to have data active all the time. So, it is better to go with a VoLTE enabled phone from Coolpad.

Coolpad Phones with VoLTE Jio Support
- Coolpad Mega 2.5D – The phone comes with VoLTE support directly
- Coolpad Note 3 – There was no support initially but then, Marshmallow update on the phone brought VoLTE support
- Coolpad Note 3 Lite – There was no support initially but then, Marshmallow update on the phone brought VoLTE support
- Coolpad Max – It has VoLTE and HD video calling support.
Coolpad Phones with Jio Support but no VoLTE
Coolpad has all the devices in the Indian market that have VoLTE support and unlike how we reported earlier, the Coolpad Max has the support for VoLTE.
Do all Coolpad phones support Jio 4G network?
Yes, all the four phones support Jio and you can enjoy the Jio Welcome Offer with free data and calls for the next three months until December 31st.
Want to get the Jio coupon barcode? Download MyJio app APK to generate the code irrespective of the phone you have. It still needs to have 4G LTE connectivity for the Jio SIM to work.

Hey coolpad users…..I have a good trick for all of you to use Jio sim on your coolpad device!!!
FIrst of all…..if you guys are unable to generate barcode on your coolpad then follow these simple steps
1. install old myjio.apk from google……don’t search it over playstore coz it has updated app which doesn’t allow to generate barcode anymore
2. after generating code follow the steps n get the jio sim from reliance outlet n enjoy!!
Now activation n usage procedure for you
1. Insert the Jio sim in your phone in Sim slot 1 to make it work smoothly, by default it gets the apn settings but if still its not working…then
2. Go to settings-more-cellular networks-access point names n then create a new apn………..to create a new APN you’ll get the option by holding the square button on bottom left menu on the phone
3. Select New APN- then enter the Name & APN both as jionet
4. That’s it now you are able to use your jio services
5. Now to make calls from your coolpad from jio sim…install jio4gcalling app n then you r good to go!!
