Samsung launches compact T3 portable SSD supporting Android OS starting at Rs. 10999

Samsung has launched their portable SSD, the T3 in India which comes with USB 3.1 Type C support and is also compatible with many devices like Android smartphones and tablets along with laptops and PC’s running on Windows and Mac OS. The T3 portable SSD was launched earlier this year at CES 2016 and it was launched in India yesterday.

There are four options to choose from 250GB, 500GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities measuring 74 x 58 x 10.5 mm and weighs 51 grams it comes with USB 3.1 port and USB 2.0 port. It boasts sequential read and write speeds of up to 450MB/seconds. The SSD is built with Strong, shock-resistant metal case and internal support frame for improved durability.

The SSD supports Windows 7 or higher Laptops of PC along with Mac OS 10.7 or higher and Android Kitkat version 4.4 or higher for smartphones and tablets, there is no mention about iOS devices supported. Support for Android smartphones is a great feature which will let users to take advantage of the high speed data storage device directly through your smartphones which are no less than Laptops and Desktops these days in terms of specifications.

The company will be launching the T3 Portable SSD across India starting from March 21st and it comes in four variants priced at: 250GB for Rs, 10999, 500GB for Rs. 18,999, 1TB for Rs. 37,999 and 2TB for Rs. 74,999. The device comes with a Type C to Type A cable and has strong, shock-resistant metal casing with the 2.5″ SATA SSD.
