Owning a 4k smart TV has ever so slightly come close to reality, thanks to the affordable offerings from companies like Vu, SPPL & Xiaomi. Following its streak, Super Plastronics Private Limited (SPPL), a Kodak brand licensee, has announced the launch of the KODAK 4K 50UHDXSMART LED TV on 15 March, in New Delhi.
The TV comes with a 50-inch UHD LED display with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. It has a 60Hz refresh rate with a 178° wide viewing angle. The TV has Dual-Core processor underneath clocking at 1.4 GHz and a Mali-T720 GPU, coupled with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of flash storage. It runs on ancient Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, but there is an option of Android 5 and Aptoide (Dual Operating System).
The TV comes 2×10 watt speakers with a total output RMS of 20 W. For the connectivity, it has 3 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, a headphone jack and an ethernet port. It also supports Miracast and sports a dual band 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi. There is a pre-installed browser in the TV and some of the pre-installed apps include YouTube, Netflix, Hotstar, and Facebook. The remote that comes along have the shortcut buttons for YouTube and Netflix. Some of the other UI features of the TV include Child Lock, Auto Power Off, Back Light Adjustment, Power Off When No Signal.

The KODAK 4K 50UHDXSMART LED TV is said to come with a 1 year warranty. It weighs around 11.8 KGs (including stand) and is available to purchase on Flipkart at a price of Rs. 34,499, without any flash sale fuss.
